Aromatic Cedar has a brilliant color and distinctive aroma. It has a straight grain pattern, usually with knots present. It has a very fine texture. It is usually reddish to violet-brown. Pale yellow colored streaks or stripes will sometimes be present. It is known to repel moths and bugs so it is ideal wood for chests and lining of chests.
Laser Compatibility: All Diode and CO2. Note: Glowforge does not recommend using MDF in the Aura or Spark. We have tested the MDF and it cuts well but creates more particulate matter which can raise issues with the filter. Venting outside seems to be fine as well as cleaning the machine after but you can decide if MDF is used in your Spark or Aura
